職場で、席を外すあいだの電話番を隣の同僚に頼む。

1. 同僚

   Hey, you look busy. What's up?

   おつかれ。忙しそうだね、どうしたの？

2. あなた

   Could you do me a favor?

   ちょっとお願いしてもいい？

3. 同僚

   Sure, what is it?

   いいよ、なに？

4. あなた

   I have a dentist appointment at three.

   3時に歯医者の予約があって

5. 同僚

   Oh, right in the middle of the afternoon.

   あー、午後のど真ん中だね

6. あなた

   Yeah. Can you cover for me?

   そうなの。代わりにお願いできる？

7. 同僚

   Sure. What do I need to do?

   いいよ。何すればいい？

8. あなた

   Just answer my phone if it rings.

   電話が鳴ったら出てくれるだけでいいから

9. 同僚

   Easy. Anything else?

   楽勝。ほかには？

10. あなた

    Oh, and could you remind me later? I always forget.

    あと、あとで声かけてもらえる？いつも忘れちゃうんだ

11. 同僚

    Ha, sure. I'll ping you at two-thirty.

    はは、いいよ。2時半に声かけるね

12. あなた

    Thanks a lot. I owe you one.

    ほんと助かる。借りができたね

    Don't mention it. You'd do the same for me.

    いいって。逆の立場ならやってくれるでしょ

    Totally. Coffee's on me tomorrow!
